SKIING COURSES FOR THE LITTLE ONES

Children courses in the Ötztal

An unforgettable skiing experience awaits your children in the ski area directly in Hochoetz at the MALI ski school!

Our children’s ski courses combine fun and learning success both on the slopes and in our children’s area.

Here the little ones learn the basics of skiing in a playful way while being looked after by our experienced ski instructors. (max. 6 children per instructor in the children’s area)

A large proportion of our guests are children, which is why we have tailored the children’s ski course to our young skiers.

Course content:

  • Beginners: First experiences with ski equipment, exercises in the children’s area (conveyor belts, fun obstacles and figures)
  • Advanced: First descents on easy slopes, control and safety when braking, cornering and using the lift
  • Games and fun: Integrated ski games to motivate the children and increase the learning effect
  • Individual adaptation to the children’s ability and speed

What the children can expect:

  • A lovingly furnished children’s area with figures and obstacles
  • Experienced and specially trained children’s ski instructors
  • Playful learning with lots of movement, fun and new friends
  • Safe and gentle introduction to skiing

Facts about our children courses

FAQ children's ski course

We recommend an introductory course for children aged 3 to 4.
For children aged 4 and above, we recommend our 5-day course (full day = 4 hours).

An introductory course includes the first two hours of the normal children’s ski course.
If it goes well, you can extend it immediately afterwards in our office in HochOetz. The price of the introductory course will then be deducted from the course price.

Our programme for children’s groups is spread across 5 days, with ski races and great prizes given out on the Thursday afternoon, so it makes sense to stay on the course for the entire 5 days. Of course, it’s also possible to just attend a course for a few days! There is a special extension rate starting from the third day of the course.

Purchased course tickets will not be refunded. Travel insurance is recommended for injuries and illness. However, we do have several offers (introductory courses for young children, day by day bookings, extensions, etc.) to keep your ‘risk’ as low as possible.

On the first day of the course (Sunday), the children are assigned to different levels according to their ability in the preliminary evaluation session.

Children are grouped primarily according to their ability to ski and their age. If your children or their friends are at around the same skiing level, please state your preference on the first day and we will try our best!

All children need a ski pass – for those up to 8 years old, there is the free Snow Kid Card.

You can find more information at: https://mali.skischool.shop/en/ski-pass/

In our ski resort, the children come back to the meeting point every lunch break.

This means you can eat with your child.

All skiing courses take place in the HochOetz ski resort.
The meeting point is always at our assembly point in HochOetz (directly below the Panorama Restaurant), unless another meeting point is agreed on-site at the booking office.

In general, we recommend registering and booking in good time using our booking portal or by email. Since our groups have maximum participant numbers, we cannot guarantee that there will still be enough free places on the spot if you don’t book ahead.
